Denali and Ben traveled across the US together, hiking, camping, exploring, sailing, swimming, surfing, and sleeping under the stars. They beat Ben's cancer together; now it's Denali's turn to face death. Told through humble and calm narration from Denali's point-of-view, DENALI weaves together deep emotion and humorous wit to portray a relationship like no other: a man and his soul dog. The film ends with a tear-jerking quote from writer David Dudley on what we humans can learn from dogs, what Ben learned from Denali: "When someone you love walks in through the door, even if it happens five times a day, go totally insane with joy."
